Conference - 'Material shapes Product'

New Materials are trendy but are also offering new possibilities for innovations. The hessian ministry for economy organized a conference at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach, 24th of Juni, where new hessian technologies will be presented. Topic > From new Materials to new Products.
G.tecz is referring about ultra high performance concrete (UHPC), the new Quantz technology and the high potential of those materials for industry, architecture and design.

ADVANCED CONCRETE - Presentation at the University of Kassel

The results of the CONCRETE ADVANCED workshop, held by Dr. Teichmann and Dr. Zimmermann at the university of Kassel were shown during the 'RUNDGANG'. The students are presenting their ideas and prototyps with ultra high performance concrete. Topic was the theme MONOLITHIC, that is the slogan of the this years CONCRETE DESIGN Competition.
VDB - INNOVATIVE CONCRETE

Invited by the VDB, Dr. Thomas Teichmann lectured this evening on innovative concrete developments. Topics had been ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) but also the newest G.tecz developments like an extrem heat resistant UHPC ( >1400 °C) and our new earth-dry UHPC.

UHSB Casestudies BRIDGE

Cement&BetonCentrum, the concrete marketing organization of the Netherlands invited a special group of engineers, architects and pre-cast companies for developing casestudies for bridges. It's an honor for G.tecz the be invited as the only non dutch member of this group. We and Prof. Walraven from University of Delft are consulting the casestudy-members regarding uhpc-technologies, production or structural design.
Winter Semester Lectures - University of Kassel
winter 09/10 - University of Kassel, Germany
Thomas Teichmann and Gregor Zimmermann will lecture at the architecture faculty in Kassel, winter semester 2009. Topics will be 'old' and new technologies in concrete design but also tips n tricks, applications and facing concrete. Another focus are experiments. The class will use new prototyping technologies at the University to produce moulds that will be casted in the G.tecz laboratories. The experiments are a preparation for the 4th concrete design competition, starting september 2009.

The IBA (Internationale Bauausstellung - international building exhibition) & ARCH+ are organizing laboratories with experts to discuss new constructions, materials, methods ... . In this content G.tecz will present the outstanding material properties of UHPC (ultra high performance concrete) and it's great sustainability.

Doreen Westphal, a famous designer from Amsterdam, is presenting a collection of fine design pieces made of QUANTZ (TM) - the brand new cement-bonded high-tech material from G.tecz.
UHPC HIGH RISE BUILDINGS - University of Delft
6. April 2009 - Delft, NL
High Rise Building Workshop at TU-Delft - 16th of April, afternoon. Prof. Grohmann from Bollinger-Grohmann and G.tecz will lecture about building high rise buildings with UHPC - ultra high performance concrete. Reference object for a comparison between HPC and UHPC is the EZB building in Frankfurt (Germany) by Coop Himmelblau, engineered and calculated by Bollinger-Grohmann.
Bowakademie Amsterdam

G.tecz will refer on Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) at the Bauakademie Amsterdam and will show the masterclass of Baukje Trenning, how to work with this material and attends a workshop at the academy.
BOWBOERS UTRECHT
In cooperation with Cement & Beton, Gtecz showed the barBeton at the bowboers utrecht. The barBeton is a project by Oliver Tessmann and Mirco Becker - Lecturers at the University of Kassel and founders of f-u-r - with students and G.tecz. The object shows the possibilities of the new material UHPC (Ultra High Performance Concrete) for furniture designe and facade claddings.
